I create and interpret stories through geometric patterns and shapes made up from my wild and curious imagination, inspiration, or real life situations and phases that every day people go through. “Geometric Story Telling” is what I call it. My inspiration comes from traditional African and Native American symbol and pattern design that’s vastly becoming a lost art form. Being African American and getting inspiration from the Native American culture I feel that it is majorly important for viewers to recognize this and to be inspired and see this in my artwork. I love for people to tap into their imagination and to also sometimes interpret their own story while viewing my work. My work serves a purpose to tell a story and to create a positive energy to its viewer and owner and to also think in-depth about the story being told through my work.
