I make paintings, drawings and mixed media artworks by questioning the concept of movement, Physical Sciences, and Spirituality. I create intense moments masterfully created by means of rules and omissions, acceptance and refusal, luring the viewer round and round in circles.
The paintings I create never create a complete structure. This results in the fact that I can easily imagine my own interpretation without being hindered by the historical reality. In a search for new methods to read the Galaxy, I focus on the idea of space that one cannot really see nor touch.
Many of my creations are often about the physical sciences. Astronomy, our solar system, constellations, the galaxy and things beyond that the mind can only wonder about or question. I also focus on ones faith and spiritual paths and journeys. By examining the ambiguity and origination via retakes and variations, I try to increase the dynamic between audience and author by objectifying emotions and investigating the duality that develops through different interpretations.
My work isolates the movement of our Universe/Spirit. By doing so, new sequences are created which reveal an inseparable relationship between motion and emotion. By applying abstraction, I find that movement reveals an inherent awkwardness, a humor that echoes our own vulnerabilities.
The work I create doesn't reference recognizable form. The results are deconstructed to the extent that meaning is shifted and possible interpretation becomes multifaceted.
